The battery packs, each boasting a capacity of 2 megawatt-hours (MWh), are pivotal to the energy storage system. They are complemented by diverse renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydrogen fuel cells, seamlessly integrated into the same direct current (DC) system. This integration enhances energy diversity and ensures robustness in variable energy availability scenarios. Furthermore, the system accommodates generators on the alternating current (AC) side, alongside shore charging infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted power supply. High-voltage AC motors, supported by advanced transformers and variable frequency drives (VFD), offer precise control and efficiency. With these components working in tandem, the system achieves unparalleled reliability, efficiency, and sustainability, paving the way for a greener and more resilient energy landscape.

WIND PROPULSION

LARGE CARGO VESSELS

Harnessing the power of wind to propel large cargo vessels is a new approach we should look forward to. The suction sail will be installed on the vessels, generating mechanical energy to propel the ship. This suctional sail will be connected to the same shaft as the propulsion engine. Integrating this system would minimize the load on the engines, thereby reducing overall fuel consumption.

LARGE CARGO SHIPS AND ALL VESSELS

It may not always be feasible to fully electrify large cargo vessels; however, there are viable alternatives to reduce operational expenses and minimize emissions through our comprehensive auxiliary propulsion solution. Our solution involves the integration of Manta LFP battery packs to power auxiliary loads, complemented by energy sources such as hydrogen fuel cells, wind, and solar power. In addition, diesel gensets or shore charging can be utilized as backup sources of energy. This approach significantly reduces reliance on auxiliary engines for powering loads, resulting in substantial fuel savings and emissions reduction.

The parallel hybrid system could be a game-changer when there is a requirement for both performance and fuel savings. This system is a combination of an engine and electric propulsion, which includes the Manta LFP battery pack charged using a combination of solar panels and wind turbines. The batteries can also be charged using the standard grid power supply. The electric motors will be connected to the same shaft as the engine. This system helps in delivering better fuel efficiency, thus providing improved savings. It can work either in pure electric mode or even in a combination whenever required.
